Stemma della fondazioneLocated in the heart of the ancient city, in the seventeenth-century building with the same name, it was created thanks to the will of the Baron Ettore Pomarici Santomasi, the last male exponent of the family. In his testament, the Baron decided that, after his death, which occurred in December 1917,   his legacy should go to the city of Gravina. The Foundation, entitled to his name and erected as

Moral Institution in 1920, with Royal Decree N°1761 dated November 11th 1920, has a Museum-Picture Gallery-Library-Historical Archives and a big farm The visit to the house-museum, of which the decorations and original furniture are still the original ones, allows to immerse in tranquillity into the historical dimension of the time and experience a part of the noble life of the province.

The tour itineraries

It is impossible to get out of the effect of surprise you feel sezione Archeologica (interno3)when you visit the rooms of Pomarici Santomasi Palace. The expository itinerary of the interior of the Palace intends to offer the visitor a survey rich of historical-artistic proofs from antiquity to the past century which are made up of the Pomarici Santomasi collection and of donations and purchases received by the Body in the course of years.

Affresco(particolare)The section dedicated to thematic visits offers the virtual visitor the investigation of the works of art put in correlation according to different points of view.
